Kenya Medical Research Institute (KEMRI) is seeking a Data Analyst Intern for its Kisumu location. This role is ideal for recent graduates who are eager to apply their knowledge in biostatistics, statistics, or applied mathematics in a practical, real-world setting.

Key responsibilities:

  1. Database Development: Create and maintain program tracking databases to support evaluation activities.
  2. Data integration: Combine data from various databases and identify inconsistencies and outliers using STATA.
  3. Data cleaning: Edit and clean medical record data to ensure it is ready for analysis.
  4. Reporting: Generate comprehensive data reports on various program activities.
  5. Statistical analysis: Perform sample size calculations and provide statistical interpretations.
  6. Result preparation: Prepare tables, figures, and statistical results for reporting purposes.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Biostatistics, Statistics, or Applied Mathematics from a recognized university (Mandatory).
