Key responsibilities

AI development and implementation

1. Collaborate with teams: Work with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and identify opportunities for AI applications.
2. Machine learning models: Design and develop machine learning models and algorithms to address specific business challenges.
3. End-to-end solutions: Implement end-to-end AI solutions, including data preprocessing, model training, and deployment.
4. Framework evaluation: Evaluate and select appropriate machine learning frameworks and libraries for various projects.
5. Data handling: Work with large datasets to train and fine-tune models, ensuring high accuracy and performance.

Integration and maintenance

1. System integration: Collaborate with data engineers to integrate AI solutions into existing systems.
2. Stay updated: Keep up-to-date with advancements in AI and machine learning technologies and recommend their integration.
3. Model validation: Conduct thorough testing and validation of AI models to ensure robustness and reliability.
4. Application integration: Work with software developers to integrate AI capabilities into applications.

Leadership and mentorship

1. Technical leadership: Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior AI engineers.

Requirements

Essential qualifications

1. Educational background: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field.
2. Experience: 3 to 5 years of proven experience as an AI Engineer with a focus on machine learning.
3. Programming skills: Strong programming skills in languages such as Python, Java, or C++.
4. Framework proficiency: Proficiency in machine learning frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, or scikit-learn.
5. Deep learning expertise: Experience with deep learning architectures and techniques.
6. Specialized knowledge: Knowledge of natural language processing (NLP) and computer vision.
7. Cloud services: Familiarity with cloud-based AI services (e.g., AWS SageMaker, Azure AI).
8. Technical skills: Strong understanding of data preprocessing, feature engineering, and model evaluation.
9. Problem-solving: Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills.
10. Communication: Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
11. Learning attitude: Proactive attitude towards learning and staying updated on AI trends and technologies.

Preferred qualifications

1. Advanced education: Master’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field.
2. Community contributions: Publications or contributions to the AI/Machine Learning community.
3. Reinforcement learning: Experience with reinforcement learning.

6. DevOps practices: Exposure to DevOps practices and tools in the context of AI.
